Would it be exaggerating to say that there is my life before I read this book and there is my life after? Yes it would, but in terms of my literary life this is definitely a watershed moment. How did I not read this book before? ( by the way i listen to the audiobook version with Joanne Froggatt and I can’t imagine consuming it any other way so I recommend you get that audiobook version. It was actually literally prize winning audio.)
